Privacy policy

This site is operated by Global Cloud Engineering Ltd (trading as BrightRay), a company registered in the United Kingdom.

What we collect: when you submit the contact form or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the details you send (name, email, phone and your message) so we can reply and quote for your website. We use Web3Forms to deliver form submissions to our inbox.

How you found us: when you send a form, it also tells us the first page you landed on, the website that sent you (for example google.com) and any campaign tag in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign). This is only so we know which pages and channels bring enquiries. It is held in your browser's memory while you browse, and in session storage (cleared when you close the tab) only if you accept cookies. Nothing is sent to us unless you submit a form, and we don't set a cookie for it.

Analytics: with your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand site usage (see our cookie policy).

Server logs: this site is hosted on Microsoft Azure. To keep it secure and to see which search engines and AI assistants read it, our content delivery network records each request: the page, the time, the browser or crawler name and the response. We remove IP addresses before these logs are stored, and we delete the logs after 30 days.

Phone calls: calls to our numbers are answered by an automated assistant, which tells you at the start that the call is recorded and transcribed. We record the call, including any voicemail, and use AI transcription (Microsoft Azure AI services) to turn it into a written transcript. We delete call recordings and transcripts after 90 days. The details of your enquiry (such as your name, company, what you need, and the number or email to reply to) are kept as business records for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any work that follows. You can ask us to delete them at any time by contacting us.

Transcript copies by email: if you ask on the call for a copy of your conversation by email, we use your email address only to send that one email. It is not used for marketing or added to any mailing list. The email may include a short line saying the service was provided by BrightRay. We delete your email address once the email has been sent, keeping only a partly hidden note that it was sent.

Booked calls and callback requests: when you book a call or ask for a callback on our book a call page, we keep the details you give (name, business, phone, email, what you'd like to talk about and the time) in our booking system on Microsoft Azure, and use Azure Communication Services to email them to us and send you a confirmation. We delete the record 90 days after the call (or 90 days after a callback request). To limit abuse we count requests using a one-way scrambled form of your IP address, never the address itself, and delete those counts automatically, usually within a day.

How we use it: only to respond to your enquiry and run our business. We don’t sell your data or send marketing you didn’t ask for.

Your rights: you can ask us what we hold, or to delete it, at any time.
