How to divert your calls on any UK network
The short answer
To send missed calls to an AI receptionist, you keep your number and set a call divert to the number we give you. On most UK mobiles you do it in your phone's call forwarding settings, and some networks publish dial codes such as **61* for unanswered calls. On most landlines it's *61*, the number, then #. Tesco Mobile doesn't allow call forwarding, and Lebara's help only covers voicemail. Pick your network below for the exact steps and what it costs.

Three things that make diverting simple.
- 01Divert only the calls you miss
Use when unanswered, when busy and when unreachable. You still take the calls you can, and the receptionist answers the rest.
- 02Use the number exactly as given
Mobile codes usually want +44 in place of the first 0. Landline codes use the full number including the area code.
- 03Test it straight away
Ring your number from another phone and let it ring out. You should hear your receptionist, then get the email.

Asked and answered.
Do I need a new number for an AI receptionist?+
No. Most businesses keep their existing number and divert calls to the number we set up for their receptionist. Customers still ring the number they know.
Which divert should I use?+
Divert when you don't answer, when you're busy and when your phone is off or out of signal. That way you still pick up the calls you can, and the receptionist answers the rest. Diverting all calls means your phone never rings.
Does diverting cost money?+
Usually the diverted part of the call is charged like a normal call from your plan, so on most mobile plans with inclusive minutes it comes out of your allowance. Some landline providers also charge for the divert feature. Each guide quotes what the network itself says.
Which networks can't divert calls?+
Tesco Mobile's Pay monthly terms say call forwarding isn't available. Lebara's help only covers diverting to voicemail. Vodafone Pay as you go only allows diverts to voicemail too.
How quickly can I go live?+
Once your receptionist is set up, switching it on is a single divert on your phone, so it can be answering calls the same day. Turning the divert off puts everything back as it was.
Can I turn it off again?+
Yes, any time. Each guide shows how to cancel the divert, and your calls ring through to you as before.
